MILLIE R. WOODRUFF

     Millie Rosetta Woodruff, a resident of Wahkiacus, died Wednesday, Sept. 16, at the age of 89.
     She was born July 21, 1898 in Mona, Utah to John Thomas and Laura Rosetta (Haws) Kay. She married Vernon Jensen Woodruff in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 20, 1917. They lived in Tremonton, Utah before moving to Washington state in 1972. Mr. Woodruff preceded her in death in 1982. Mrs. Woodruff was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, writing, crocheting, and knitting. She was an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
     Mrs. Woodruff is survived by sons Melvin, Lawrence and Virgil, all of Wahkiacus, Willis, Arlin and Wesley, all of Ogden, Utah, and Joel of Pendleton, Ore.; daughters Mary Fischer of Falls City, Ore., Ruth Maddy of Wahkiacus, Alice Dean of Vancouver, Wash., and Bonnie Seibert of Castle Valley, Utah; sisters Loren Kay of Ogden, Utah, Leona Adams and Eunice Summers of Fielding, Utah, Dorothy Chournos of Tremonton, Utah, Carma Radin of Seattle, and Lillian Keller of Spokane and; 55 grandchildren and 75 great-grand children.
     Services for Mrs. Woodruff were held Monday, Sept. 21, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Wahkiacus, with Pastor Rolph Lindfors officiating. Interment followed in the Hilltop Cemetery, Wahkiacus. Arrangements were made by Gardner Funeral Home of White Salmon.

     Millie Rosetta Woodruff, 89, of Wahkiacus, died Sept. 16. She was 89.
     Mrs. Woodruff was born July 21, 1898 in Mona, Utah to Laura Rosetta Haws and John Thomas Kay. She married Vernon Jensen Woodruff in Salt Lake City, Utah, June 20, 1917.
     The couple lived in Tremonton, Utah before moving to Washington in 1972. Mrs. Woodruff was a homemaker and enjoyed reading and writing, crocheting, and quilting. She was also an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
     She is survived by sons Melvin, Lawrence and Virgil, all of Wahkiacus; Willis, Arlin and Wesley, all of Ogden, Utah; and Joe of Pendleton, Ore.; daughters Mary Fischer, Falls City, Ore.; Ruth Maddy, Wahkiacus; Alice Dean, Vancouver, and Bonnie Seibert of Castle Valley, Utah.
     Mrs. Woodruff is also survived by sisters Loren Kay, Ogden, Utah; Leona Adams and Eunice Summers, Fielding, Utah; Dorothy Chournos, Tremonton, Utah; Carma Radin, Seattle; and Lillian Keller, Spokane.
     She leaves behind 55 grandchildren and 75 great-grandchildren.
     The funeral was held on Sept. 21 at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Wahkiacus with Pastor Rolph Lindfors officiating. Interment was at the Hilltop Cemetery in Wahkiacus under the direction of the Gardner Funeral Home.
