MELVIN CAVEN BURIED HERE
By telephone Monday night the Howard Jaegers learned
from Art Caven that his older brother Melvin died in Portland Monday, March
11. Funeral services were held in the Batman Funeral home on Sandy, Wednesday
afternoon with burial in the Odd Fellow cemetery in W.S. near other members
of his family.
The Cavens made their home in W.S. many years ago and
for a long time operated the hotel which was located on the present grade
school grounds.
