SARAH MYLES PASSES FROM OUR MIDST
Large Number of Friends and Neighbors Pay Final Tribute To Well Known Pioneer Resident

     Mrs. Sarah A. Myles, one of White Salmon valley pioneers, passed away Saturday, at the family home in Husum.
     Sarah A. Hattch(sic) was born Jan. 24, 1844, County Bruce, Canada.  She was married to James Myles in the year 1865.  To this union were born nine children, six of whom, Tom, George, Charlie, Jim and John, are still living.  The sons reside at the old homestead six miles east of Husum and Mrs. Hendryx and her husband and four children at Husum.
     Mrs. Myles and her family moved to the United States in 1871 and to Husum community in 1894.  At the time of her death, Mrs. Myles was a little over seventy-eight years of age.
     Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning by Rev. Holland at the Husum church and internment was at the local cemetery.
