NOEL BENJAMIN DIES THURSDAY MORNING

    Noel Benjamin, resident of this community for the past two years, died Thursday morning shortly after 8 o'clock, following a brief attack of pleurisy.
     He was born in Dunlap, Harrison County, Iowa, January 24, 1877, living there and at Oak, Nebraska, before coming to this state about two years ago. He was employed by the Dickey Farms.
     Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mary Estella Clements of Bingen, and Florence DeVere of Cle Elem, two sons, Floyd of Camp Abbott, Oregon and Howard of Bingen; three brothers, Fred of Wapato, Lloyd of Los Angeles, and W.A. of Dunlap, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Bert Roundy of Mission, South Dakota and Mrs. Will Crandall of Amelia, Nebraska.
     Funeral arrangements had not been made at the time of this writing.

BENJAMIN SERVICES HELD SUNDAY

     Noel Benjamin was born in Dunlap, Iowa, January 24, 1877, and died at his home in Bingen February 24, 1944, at the age of 67 years and one month.
     He moved to Nebraska in 1903 and in 1913 was united in marriage to Miss Adda Frew of Amelia, Nebraska. To them were born two sons and two daughters, Howard of Bingen, Floyd of Camp Abbott, Ore., Mrs. Estella Clements of Bingen, and Mrs. Florence DeVere of Cle Elem.
     Beside wife and children, Mr. Benjamin is also survived by four brothers, Fred of Wapato, Lloyd of Los Angeles, William of Dunlap, and Robert of O'Neil, Nebraska; and by two sisters, Mrs. Bert Roundy of Mission, South Dakota and Mrs. Will Crandall of Amelia, Nebraska. He also leaves two little granddaughters, both of Bingen.
     Services were conducted on Sunday afternoon at the Bingen Community church, by the pastor Miss Louise Pinnell. The text was taken from the twelfth verse of the ninth Psalm: "So teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom." Mrs. John Dickey sang "Sometime, We'll Understand" and "Just as I am."
     All the immediate family were present at the services; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Benjamin, Earl and Tom Benjamin of Wapato, Wallace Benjamin of Yakima, Mrs. Gladys Kitchen, Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Worden and Mrs. Leo Comstock of Kelso, all near relatives of the family.
     Mr. Benjamin had lived in Nebraska since his marriage and had only come to Washington about two years ago. He was employed at the Dickey farms here. In the short time that he had been here, he had made many friends, the many beautiful floral offerings bearing evidence of the high esteem in which he was held.
     Interment was in the White Salmon cemetery, and was in charge of the Gardner Funeral home.

     Noel Benjamin, who was born January 24, 1877, in Dunlop, Iowa, died February 24, 1944 at Bingen. Funeral services were held in the Bingen church with Miss Pinnell officiating.
