MRS. MARKGRAF PASSES; SERVICE HELD WEDNESDAY

     Death claimed the life of Mrs. Nelda Carnelia Markgraf, a long-time resident of Glenwood, Sunday, February 17. Mrs. Markgraf, who was 57 years of age, had been seriously ill for several weeks. She was confined to the Klickitat Valley Hospital.
     Funeral services were in charge of the Gardner Funeral Service of White Salmon and were held Wednesday, Feb. 20 at the Glenwood Community church at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Karle Markgraf officiating. Concluding services were held at the Glenwood cemetery with the Glenwood Grange in charge.
     Pallbearers were, Elwood Williams, John DeVries, Clarence Lewis, John McGrath, Jake Pierce and S.S. Surface.
     The deceased was born Dec. 30, 1892 in Glenwood, the daughter of Herman and Adeline Schultz. On January 21, 1939, she was united in marriage to Ferdinand Markgraf, who passed away on August 14, 1950.
     She was a member of the Glenwood Grange.
     She is survived by two cousins, Bertha Schillings and Henry Reimer, both of Chicago.

NELDA MARKGRAF FUNERAL HELD AT GLENWOOD FEB. 20

     Nelda Carnelia Markgraf was born Dec. 30th, 1892 in Glenwood, Washington, the daughter of Herman and Adeline Schultz.
     On June 21st, 1939, she was united in marriage to Ferd Markgraf, who passed away August 14th, 1950.
     She was a member of the Glenwood Grange No. 94. Following a months illness, she passed away at the Klickitat Valley Hospital in Goldendale February 17th at the age of 59 years.
     Funeral services were conducted February 20th at 1:30 p.m. in the Glenwood Church with Reverend Karl Markgraf officiating. Concluding services were held in the Glenwood Cemetery and provided by the Glenwood Grange No. 94. Gardner Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers: Elwood Williams, John Devreese, Clarence Lewis, John McGrath, Jake Pierce, Mr. Surface.
     She is survived by two cousins: Bertha Schillings of Chicago and Henry Reimer of Chicago, Ill.
