NOLAN FRANCIS BIESANZ
Nolan Francis Biesanz of Portland died of cancer Nov.
16 in a Portland hospital. He was 76.
Born Oct. 27, 1912 in White Salmon, he grew up at BZ
Corners, and moved to Portland in 1938.
He was a mechanic for Cascade Corporation in Sandy, Ore.
for 30 years and retired in 1986.
Mr. Biesanz is survived by his wife Florence V., at home
in Portland; two brothers, Merle of White Salmon and Wayman of Carson; a
sister, Florence Bartholomew of Dallesport; a daughter Carol Biesanz Pollard
of Seattle; a stepdaughter, Gayle V. Rue, and a stepson, James Read, both
of Portland; and six grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Nov. 29 at First Immanuel
Lutheran Church in Portland, followed by a private burial at Trout Lake Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the first Immanuel
Lutheran Church or the Providence Medical Center Hospice Fund - Providence
Hospital Medical Foundation.
