NINA WILLIAMS
Nina Irene Williams, a former Klickitat County resident
and current Parkdale, Ore. resident, died Oct.21, 1998, at the age of 84.
Mrs. Williams was born Oct. 19, 1914, in Marmouth, N.D.,
to Della (Taylor) and George Williams. She was a member of the Seventh-day
Adventist Church, which was a big part of her life. She attended college
and became a teacher, teaching for 22 years in Seventh-day Adventist
schools.
She married David Williams in 1932 and they moved to
the Northwest in the mid-1930s. The couple then moved to Wahkiacus in 1952,
where Mr. Williams worked in the Woodruff mills. He died in 1992. She loved
knitting, crocheting, canning and gardening.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her sons Richard Williams,
Goldendale, and Leon Williams, Wahkiacus; brothers Bob Williams, Seal Beach,
Calif., and Ernie Williams; sisters Jean Bagley, Bowman, N.D., and numerous
grand and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Williams were held Oct.24,
1998, at 11 a.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Wahkiacus, with Pastor
Willard Santee officiating. Interment was at Hilltop Cemetery in Wahkiacus.
