NANCY J. SAUNDERS BURIED WEDNESDAY

     Services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Phillips Funeral Home for the late Nancy Jane Saunders, 72, with Pastor Paul Bartholomew officiating. Interment followed in the Lyle Cemetery. Mrs. Saunders was born in Clear Lake, Wis. on May 2, 1885. She passed away Saturday at Goldendale. Her obituary will be published next week. Pallbearers at her rites were W.F. Winters, Gordon Boyes, George Clark, Nelvin Derscheid, Jack Cleveland and Arnold Schlangen.

ATTEND FUNERAL

     Mr. and Mrs. Arnie Schlangan and family returned home last Wednesday after funeral services for her mother, Mrs. Nancy Saunders.
     Those attending funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Saunders at Goldendale, Washington were Mrs. Della Monroe, Mrs. J.B. Durkee, Mrs. Jim Thorn, Mary Lou Greenfield, Ronald Kamp, Irvin and Homer Mitchell, Bernice Derscheid, Karen Ruth, Moldred Monroe, Hally Frame, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Robinson, Alice Harris, Zillah Harrington, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Steindorf, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Maupin, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Olney, Jack Meads Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Harry Nelson, Vera Linde, Mrs. Joan Morse, Mr. and Mrs. William Winters Sr., Mr. and Mrs. William Winters Jr., Mrs. Helen Wills, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Westlund, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Compher.
     Interment was in Lyle Cemetery. Pallbearers were her five sons-in-laws, Gordon Boyes, Jack Cleaveland, Nelvin Derscheid, Arnie Schlangan and George Clark, and Bill Winters.

NANCY JANE SAUNDERS

     Funeral rites were held at Phillips Funeral Home Wednesday, November 20 for the late Nancy Jane Saunders, 71, who passed away November 16. She had been a resident of Klickitat for 30 years.
     She was born at Darvy, Wis. Her husband, Alfa Samuel Saunders, preceded her in death.
     Mrs. Saunders is survived by four sons: Walter Kenneth, Marion Glen, William Riley, and Arthur Leroy Saunders; and five daughters: Vivian Marie Boyes, Ruby Lorraine Cleveland, Margaret Elizabeth Derscheid, Blanche Lamar Clark, and Barbara Jean Schlangen. One son, Manly Dan Saunders, preceded her in death.
     Thirty-one grandchildren and one great grandchild survive.
     Mrs. Saunders was a member of the Methodist Church. Officiating minister at her rites was Pastor Paul Bartholomew. She was buried at Lyle cemetery.
     She was known affectionately to many as "Mom" or "Grandma."
