NEOLA HANSEN
Neola Ruby Hansen, a longtime Glenwood resident, died
Feb. 5, 1996, in Carson, at the age of 87.
Mrs. Hansen was born Aug. 8, 1908, in Wapato, to Neva
(Pendleton) and Frank Lyle Hansen. She moved to Glenwood at age 2 and lived
there all her life. She graduated from Central Washington College in Ellensburg
with her teaching certificate, teaching in Glenwood all her career until
retirement in 1974. Her husband Henry Hansen died in 1972.
She was a member of the Glenwood Ladies Aid, Glenwood Woman's Club,
Pioneer Memorial Community Church and Retired Teacher's Association.
Mrs. Hansen is survived by her daughters Frances Kay
Carr, Glenwood, and Irene R. Fields, Fontana, Calif.; sons Richard L. Hansen,
Glenwood; sisters Mae Kuhnhausen, Woodburn, Ore., and Frances Schilling,
Glenwood; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded
in death by her parents, husband and one grandchild.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hansen were held Friday, Feb.
9, 1996, at Pioneer Memorial Community Church in Glenwood at 11 a.m., with
Rev. Greg Petrie and Mr. Nate Putnam. Interment was at Mt. Adams Cemetery
in Glenwood. Memorials may be given to the Glenwood
Ladies Aid in care of Veneta Dean or to the Tall Elks in care of Mt. Adams
Elks Lodge 1868.
