NANCY BEEKS
Nancy Virginia Beeks, 66, a resident of Trout Lake, died
on Friday, Feb. 21, 2003 at her home.
She was born Aug. 10, 1936, in St. Helens, Ore., the
third of eight children to Franklin Benjamin and Mary Ellen (Skinner) Brasmer.
She moved to Westport, Ore. as a child and then to the Goldendale area as
a young woman.
She married Phillip Lowrey Beeks in Trout Lake in 1955
and they made their home in Glenwood and the surrounding area before moving
to Trout Lake in 1960. Mr. Beeks died in 1992.
She was a homemaker whose greatest love was children.
She also enjoyed crocheting and camping.
Survivors include sons Phillip L. Beeks, Jr., Anchor
Point, Alaska, and Bill E. Beeks, Trout Lake; daughters Laura L. Anrig, Battle
Ground, Diane Schmid, Pierce, Idaho, Judy K. Reynoso, Trout Lake, and Mindy
Nair, Vancouver; brothers Kenneth and Dan Surratt of Bremerton, and Donald
Surratt of Silverdale; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and
numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband she was preceded by three
siblings and her parents.
An informal graveside service will be held at the Pleasant
Valley Cemetery on Saturday, March 1, 2003, at 1 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the
Gorge, 719 Myrtle Street, The Dalles, OR 97058.
Arrangements were by Columbia Cremation & Burial.
