ORA A. COOPER

     Ora A. Cooper, a lifelong Klickitat County resident, passed away suddenly Apr. 17 in Goldendale.
     Born June 30, 1909 to Guy and Martha Cooper, Goldendale, he was raised on a ranch and later farmed with his father and brothers. After his marriage to Helen Cox Cooper in July, 1936, he started working in the woods and sawmills of the county.
     He was a member of Local Union No. 2805 for 30 years.
     He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
     He is survived by his wife, Helen Cooper, Klickitat; daughter Myrna Cooper, Ephrata and three sons -- Ronald, Eugene, Ore.; Gary, White Salmon; and George, Goldendale.
     He is also survived by three sisters -- Myrtle Cooper, Eugene, Ore.; Hazel Cooper, Portland, Ore.; and Lelia Cooper, Grants Pass, Ore.
     There is one brother, Lawrence Cooper, Washougal.
     Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at Knosher Funeral Home with Homer Coulson officiating, at 10 a.m.
