MATTSON
Services for Otis A. Mattson, 87, of Goldendale, will
be at 2 p.m. this Friday, Sept. 29 and the chapel of the Knosher-Erdman Funeral
Home.
Mr. Mattson passed away Sept. 25, 1989 in Goldendale.

MATTSON
Otis A. Mattson, 87, of Goldendale passed away on Monday,
Sept. 25 in Goldendale. He was born April 30, 1902, in Centerville to John
and Mary Mattson, and graduated from Centerville High School with the class
of 1923.
Mr. Mattson farmed most of his life and loved the land;
he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was baptized and confirmed in the
Centerville Apostolic Lutheran Church of which he was a member.
He and Louise Hoikka were united in marriage on Dec.
11, 1949 in Goldendale.
Preceding him in death were his parents: one son, John;
eight brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife Louise of Goldendale;
one brother, Raymond Mattson of Centerville, and one sister, Hazel Taylor
of Goldendale, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services were Friday, Sept. 29 in the chapel of
Knosher-Erdman Funeral Home, Pastor Ray Hilman of Centerville Apostolic Lutheran
Church officiating. Interment was in Centerville Cemetery.
Active pallbearers included Neal Mattson, Warren Mattson,
David Mattson, Richard Mattson, Garry Morris and Richard Bowman. Honorary
Pallbearers were Merle Wiidanen, Eldon Wiidanen, Alvin Randall and Arnold
Hoikka.
