ODESSER CLEVELAND GROSHONG
Odesser Cleveland Groshong, a resident of White Salmon
for 43 years, died Thursday of last week. Funeral services, with Masonic
rites, was held at the Methodist church Saturday at 1 o'clock with Rev. R.C.
Young of Goldendale officiating.
Mr. Groshong was born June 22, 1887 in Oklahoma and in
his infancy accompanied his parents to White Salmon. He was married at The
Dalles, Oregon on December 25, 1916 to Miss Elizabeth Colleary of the Goldendale,
Wash.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Master Mason
for two years.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Groshong
and two minor children, a son James, 9 years of age; and a daughter, Helen,
12 years of age; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Groshong; his grandmother,
Mrs. Malinda Groshong, all of White Salmon; one brother, Fred, of Woodland,
Wn., and two sisters, Mrs. Electa Headman of California and Mrs. J.W. Lord
of New Orleans, La.
Relatives here for the funeral were Fred Groshong of
Woodland, Wash.; Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Twohig of Goldendale; Mr. and Mrs. M.L.
Curran of Heppner, Ore.; Mr. Charles Calling and Katherine Calling of Vancouver,
Wn. Friends from Goldendale attending were Mr. and Mrs. George Baker, Robert
Sunderland and Rev. Young.

Odessa Groshong died at his home at the White Salmon last Thursday, the funeral services being held on Sunday. R.D. Sunderland, Preston Warwick, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Twohig, Mr. and Mrs. George Baker, of Goldendale, attended the services, which were conducted by Rev. R.C. Young. Mr. Groshong leaves besides his wife and two children, his father and mother. Graveside services were conducted by the Masonic lodge. An obituary will be published later.

OBITUARY
Rev. Young of Goldendale officiated January 25th at the
funeral of O.C. Groshong at White Salmon, the funeral being held by the Masonic
lodge of that place.
The deceased had been a resident of White Salmon for
43 years. He was born in Oklahoma and in his infancy accompanied his parents
to White Salmon.
He is survived by his widow, Elizabeth Groshong, a son
of James, and a daughter, besides many other relatives.
