OWEN DAFFRON, LYLE PIONEER DIES; SERVICES APRIL 9TH

     LYLE (Special) -- Owen Daffron passed away suddenly at his home here the evening of April 7. He was born in Missouri, May 13, 1882 and was 66 years and 11 months of age. He had not been well for some time but was up and around, when he took a coughing spell and died from a hemorrhage.
     He had lived most of his life in Lyle. He is survived by three sisters: Mrs. Alvia Bradford, with whom he was making his home, and one sister in Portland and one in California.
     Funeral services was in charge of Gardner Funeral Home and were held in the Lyle church Saturday afternoon with Rev. George, of White Salmon, as pastor. He was buried in the Balch Cemetery.
