Longtime White Salmon resident Orva Arnett, 94, died
Feb. 12, 1996.
Services will be held Friday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. at Gardner
Funeral Home.

ORVA ARNETT
Orva L. Arnett, a longtime White Salmon resident, died
Feb. 12, 1996 in Grandview, at the age of 94.
Mrs. Arnett was born July 31, 1901, in New Freedom, Wisc.,
to Louisa M. (Volkey) and Louie A. Maine. In 1904, the family moved to White
Salmon, where she grew up and attended school. She lived in White Salmon
until 1994, when she moved to Grandview to be near her daughter.
She married her husband William W. Arnett on March 6,
1920. In 1924, they moved to Mt. Adams Orchards where they lived for 25 years,
then operated their own ranch for 20 years.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the
Order of Eastern Star and Bethel Congregational Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband in September,
1978, and by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law William
H. and Mary Arnett, White Salmon; daughter and son-in-law Luvena and James
F. Maulden, Grandview; brother Frank E. Maine, Stevenson; five grandchildren,
six great-grand-children, 3 step great-grandchildren and one great
great-grandson.
Funeral services for Mrs. Arnett were held Friday, Feb.16,
1996 at 1 p.m. at Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon, with Rev. Sigmund
Podlozny Jr. officiating. Vault interment was at White Salmon Cemetery.
