OTTO KURE DIES AT YEW WOOD CAMP
Otto Kure, aged 67 and a native of Denmark, passed away
at his residence at Yew Wood park on the Alsea highway at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday
following a lingering illness of heart trouble. Mr. Kure came to Benton County
seven years ago and had been employed by Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Dickinson, owners
of Yew Wood camp.
He was born in Denmark September 7, 1868. He is survived
by a sister in Denmark, a brother in Australia and a nephew, H.H. Kure, of
Lyle, Washington.
A graveside services is to be held Thursday morning at
nine o'clock at the Alsea cemetery and interment will be made there with
the Keeney funeral home in charge.

OTTO KURE RITES HELD AT HARTLAND
Last rites for Otto Kure were conducted Friday at the Hartland cemetery at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. S.C. Eshelman of Centerville officiating.
OBITUARY
Otto Kure was born in September 7th, 1869 at Allinger,
Denmark. He came to The Dalles, Oregon, in 1887 where he took up the occupation
as painter, which he followed until about 1916. He later lived at Oregon
City and for the last seven years, he made his home with Mr. and Mrs. S.B.
Dickens at Alsea, Oregon.
Mr. Kure was a Lutheran by faith. He passed away and
July 28, 1936.
He leaves in this country when niece, Kamma McKillip
of Grants Pass, Oregon, and four nephews, Henry Kure of Wapata, Washington;
Hilldor Kure of Lyle, Washington; Archie Kure of Wapato, Washington; Lawrence
Kure of Chicago, Illinois. In Denmark, he leaves a sister, and in Australia,
a brother.
