OLIVER T. STUMP PASSES AWAY
Oliver T. Stump was born in Iowa, November 9th, 1855. When about ten years of age, his parents moved to Oregon. In 1872, they came to Klickitat, and settled near Goldendale. He was converted and joined the Baptist Church in early manhood. He lived in different parts of the valley, until 1887 when he settled in Pleasant Valley, where he lived until May 1918, when he moved to Goldendale, where he died November 15th, 1921, after suffering some 12 years. Funeral services took place at Pleasant Valley, November 18 and interment in the cemetery at that place. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, five children, three brothers and one sister.

Oliver T. Stump was born in Iowa, November 9th, 1855.
When about ten years of age, his parents moved to Oregon. In 1872, they came
to Klickitat, and settled near Goldendale. He was converted and joined the
Baptist church in early manhood. He lived in different parts of the valley,
until 1887, when he settled in Pleasant Valley, where he lived until May,
1918, when he moved to Goldendale, where he died November 15th, 1921, after
suffering some 12 years.
On December 13, 1877, he married Olevia Jane Adams, who
survives him. To this union were born in seven children, five of whom are
living, namely: Mrs. Ira Tuttle, Herman and Orval, of Pleasant Valley; Mrs.
Dan Thomson, of Goldendale, and Carl of Liberty Bond, Wash., besides sixteen
grandchildren and three great grandchildren, all of living in Klickitat.
Also, three brothers, William, of Granger, Wash.; Elmer, of Sunny side, Wash.;
and Leonard, of California, and one sister, Mrs. James Jerrott, of Hood River,
Ore.
The funeral services will take place at Pleasant Valley,
tomorrow, November 18th, and interment in the cemetery at that place, where
his body will await the Resurrection Morn.

On December, 13, 1877, he married Olevia Jane Adams,
who survives him. To this union were born seven children, five of them now
living: Mrs. Ida Tuttle; Herman and Qrval, of Pleasant Valley; Mrs. Dan Thompson
of Goldendale; and Carl of Liberty Bond. Also 16 grand children and 3 great
grand children. Two brothers, William of Granger, and Elmer of California,
and a sister, Mrs. James Jarrett of Hood River, also survive him.
The funeral and interment took place at Pleasant Valley,
Friday, Nov. 18, 1921.
