FUNERAL SATURDAY FOR PETER WIIDANEN
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Knosher
Funeral Home for Peter A. Wiidanen, a lifelong Centerville resident, who
died Tuesday morning at Klickitat Valley Hospital. He was 76 years of age.
Mr. Wiidanen had been ill with bronchitis during the
winter, but had been hospitalized only a few days.

PETER ANDREAS WIIDANEN
Peter Andreas Wiidanen, the son of Andrew and Amanda
Holm Wiidanen, was born at Centerville December 23, 1888. He was christened
while an infant in the Finnish Lutheran Church, Centerville.
He attended rural schools and then engaged in farming.
He raised cattle and was considered a good business man as many people asked
his advice.
He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel, a sister of
Ida Barney and four brothers, Charles, John, Matthew and Frank.
He is survived by his wife, Florence; a step son, Kenneth
Carter; three sisters, Olivia Bayman, Goldendale; Hilma Fielding, Portland
and Laura Kayser, Rainier, Ore., also four nieces, two nephews, many cousins
and a host of friends.
The funeral was held Saturday, March 6 at the Knosher
Funeral Home with burial and in the Centerville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Otis Anderson, Arnold Hoikka, Alvin
Randall, Ronald Niva, Larry Kayser and Wade Uecker. Officiating minister
was Lloyd Knutson.
