RAY
Mr. Paul F. Ray, 71, Goldendale, passed away Wednesday
Aug. 19 in Portland, Ore. He was born in Goldendale Dec. 23, 1915 to Daniel
and Nancy Ray.
He attended schools in Goldendale and was united in marriage
to Helen English of Norfolk, Va. Nov. 10, 1942. He served in the US Navy
during World War II and in the Korean Conflict.
He owned and operated Paul's Welding in Goldendale for
31 years.
Mr. Ray is survived by his wife Helena of Goldendale;
three daughters: Linda Davisson of Omak, Wash.; Paula Harvey of Spokane and
Trina Ray of Goldendale; one son, Tyrone of Colorado Springs, Col.; one sister,
Evelyn Saxton of Goldendale; one brother, Gerald Ray of Mt. Libby; seven
grandchildren, one great-grand child and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tonja; two sisters,
Flora Anderson and Nellie Ownby, and two brothers, John and Walter Ray.
Mr. Ray enjoyed baseball, reading, hunting and fishing
and was an active member of the Louis Leidl Post No. 116 of the American
Legion, 40 et 8, and the Oddfellows.
Memorial services are 1 p.m. Saturday in the Knosher-Erdman
Funeral Home, the Rev. Van Beek officiating. Inurnment is at Spring Creek
Cemetery under the auspices of Louis Leidl Post No. 116 American Legion.
