PASSING OF MANY LONG TIME RESIDENTS

The news received in the Trout Lake section and other parts of Klickitat county last week of the death of Mrs. Chris Guler, in San Francisco, brought genuine grief to the many friends of herself and her husband.
Mrs. Guler, aged 63, a native of Switzerland, was taken to The Dalles hospital by her husband last winter. Later it was thought that treatment in San Francisco might bring her relief, and she and Mr. Guler went there in the early spring.
Mr. and Mrs. Guler where married in The Dalles. They then went to Trout Lake, where they developed the noted resort place on the south base of Mt. Adams. This place proved a favorite resort for recreation and by hundreds of people.
The hospitality of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Guler had endeared the couple to all who came in contact with them. They had become known as one of the most happy and devoted couple in all the Klickitat county.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Charles M. Coate, a well known couple in the Trout Lake valley.
