COLA HATHAWAY DIES IN YAKIMA

     Mrs. Maurice K. (Piccola O.) Hathaway, 63, died Saturday, March 7 in Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. Except for eight years after her marriage (1918-1926) she was a lifelong resident of Glenwood valley.
     Survivors include her husband, Maurice; four sons, Kenneth of Benton City, George of Laurel, Ray and Maurice Jr., both of Glenwood; daughters, Catherine Waller of Sunnyside and Nellie Smith of Klickitat; sister, Mrs. Bill Splawn of Seaside, Ore.; brother, Garver Castle of Lyle, and 15 grandchildren.

FUNERAL HELD AT GLENWOOD

     Funeral services for Mrs. Maurice K. (Piccola O.) Hathaway were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Glenwood Presbyterian church.
     Smith Funeral Home of Sunnyside was in charge of arrangements. Rev. Harold Wagner, pastor of Sunnyside Church of the Brethern, officiated. Rev. June Baird was soloist and Mrs. Mildred DeVries pianist.
     Burial was in Mt. Adams cemetery near Glenwood. Casket bearers were Rev. Kenneth Schellbach, Osmar Kuhnhausen, Clarence Lewis, Fred O'Neal, Norman Troh and Floyd Lyon.
     Mrs. Hathaway's obituary was published in last week's Sun.

     Mrs. Piccola O. Hathaway, a lifetime resident of the Glenwood Valley died at Sunnyside Memorial Hospital, Fri. March 7, following a brief illness.
     Mrs. Hathaway was 63 years of age and was born at Glenwood, where she lived most of her lifetime. In 1918 Piccola Castle and Maurice Hathaway were united in marriage and for eight years lived in Idaho, returning to the Glenwood Valley where they continued to make their home in Laurel.
     She was a member of the Sunnyside Church of the Brethern. She is survived by her husband, Maurice of Laurel, two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Waller of Sunnyside, Mrs. Nellie Smith of Klickitat; four sons, Kenneth of Benton City, George of Laurel, Ray and Maurice Jr. both of Glenwood; one sister, Mrs. Bill Splawn of Seaside, Ore. One brother, Garver Castle of Lyle, and 15 grandchildren.
     Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Glenwood Presbyterian Community Church with the Rev. Harold Wagner and Rev. Kenneth Schellback officiating. Sacred selections were sung by the Rev. June Baird. Casket bearers were Fred. O'Neal, Floyd Lyon, Clarence Lewis, Osmer Kuhnhausen, Norman Troh and Rev. Kenneth Schellback. Burial was in the family plot of the Glenwood Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home.

     Mrs. Piccola 0. Hathaway, a lifetime resident of Glenwood valley, passed away at the Sunnyside Memorial Hospital early Saturday, following an extended illness.
     Mrs. Hathaway, 63, was born at Glenwood where she spent her early years. In 1918 she and Maurice Hathaway were united in marriage and moved to Idaho for eight years, returning to Laurel, where they have continued to make their home. She was a member of the Church of the Bretheen of Sunnyside.
     She is survived by her husband of Laurel; two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Waller of Sunnyside, Mrs. Nellie Smith of Klickitat; four sons, Kenneth of Benton City, George of Laurel, Ray and Maurice Jr., Glenwood; Mrs. Bill Splawn, Seaside; one brother, Garver Castle, Lyle, and 15 grandchildren.
     Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Presbyterian Community Church at Glenwood, with the Rev. Harold Wagner of the Church of the Brethren of Sunnyside, officiating. Sacred selections were sung by Rev. June Baird, accompanied by Mrs. Mildred De Vries. Pallbearers were Fred 0'Neal, Floyd Lyon, Clarence Lewis, Osmer Kuhnhausen, Norman Troh and Rev. Kenneth Shellback. Burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home of Sunnyside.
