PHILLIP L. BEEKS
Phillip Lowery Beeks of Trout Lake died Nov. 11 at home.
He was 67.
Mr. Beeks was born in Wahkiacus on March 4, 1925. He
married Nancy Brasmer in Trout Lake on Aug. 7, 1955. He served in the U.S.
Navy during World War II. He enjoyed the outdoors such as hunting, fishing
and picking mushrooms. He liked to tinker with old cars that needed repair.
He also enjoyed music, like playing his guitar and harmonica.
An employee of SDS Lumber Co. for 20 years, Mr. Beeks
enjoyed his job and often spoke highly of his co-workers.
He is survived by his wife; Nancy V. Beeks of Trout Lake;
children, Bill Edward Beeks of Rufus, Laura Leigh Anrig of Trout Lake, Phillip
L. Beeks of Lyle, Nancy Diane Schmid of Trout Lake; Judith Kay Reynoso of
BZ Corners, Melinda Annett Nair of Vancouver; brothers, Malcolm, Calvin and
James Beeks, off of Goldendale; sister, Vera Cotton of Woodburn; eight
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Gardner Funeral Home in
White Salmon; followed by committal at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Goldendale.
