PLEAMON H. LONDON
Bingen resident Pleamon "Hank" London died Thursday,
Oct. 22, in White Salmon at the age of 81.
He was born August 18, 1906 to James and Mae (Goff) London
in Madison County, Mo. He married Lila Meador in Greenville, Mo., on Oct.
20, 1928. They moved to Bingen in 1958. Mr. London worked for Diamond Fruit
Growers in Hood River, Ore., Underwood Fruit and SDS Lumber Company until
he retired in 1968. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Bingen.
He is survived by his children, Norma Martin of White
Salmon, Flora Hamlin of Lutesville, Mo., James "Jack" London and Patsy Merrick,
both of Bingen, and Bill London and Donald London, both of White Salmon;
sisters and Dorothy White of Missouri, Vergie Wells of California and Nell
Henkle of Missouri; 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one
great-great-grandchild.
Services for Mr. London were held Monday, Oct. 26, in
the chapel of Gardner Funeral Home, White Salmon. Mr. Jim Bradshaw officiated.
Interment followed in the White Salmon Cemetery under the direction of Gardner
Funeral Home.
