     Our community was saddened by the death of Pete Markgraf. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Markgraf.

FUNERAL FOR MARKGRAF HELD SATURDAY

     The funeral for Peter Henry Markgraf was held Saturday evening at the Church. Rev. Reynolds, of White Salmon officiating.
     He died Wednesday night at the Hood River hospital. He was the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. Will Markgraf of Glenwood. He was born Sept. 24, 1923.

PETER HENRY MARKGRAFF

     GLENWOOD, Aug. 21 -- (Special) -- Peter Henry Markgraff was born September 24, 1923, at Glenwood and died August 17, 1938, at the Hood River hospital.
     The funeral was held Saturday, Auguat 20, at the Glenwood church. Rev. Reynolds conducting the services.
     The deceased was the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. William Markgraff and is survived by his parents; four sisters, Virginia Dapkus, Edith Warner, Ruth Akerill, Lydia Elizabeth; and two brothers, Albert and William.
