PHILIP TUBBS
Philip Lee Tubbs, a BZ Corners resident for the past
three years, died Saturday, June 17, 2000, near Bingen, at the age of 18.
Mr. Tubbs was born July 17, 1981, in the Dalles, Ore.,
to Lester R. and Mary Angela (Amore) Tubbs, BZ Corners. He moved to Glenwood
and then to BZ Corners at the age of 15. He attended Columbia High School
and the Columbia Gorge Academy. He worked full-time as a clerk at the BZ
Grocery.
He loved hunting, fishing and hip-hop music. He also
loved riding motorcycles and snowmobiles.
Mr. Tubbs is survived by his parents, Lester R. and Mary
Angela Tubbs, BZ Corners; sister Catika Tubbs, BZ Corners; brother Christopher
Tubbs, BZ Corners; girl-friend Jennifer Sharpe, White Salmon; grandmothers
Gloria Warren, The Dalles, Ore., and Margaret E. Tubbs, Dufur, Ore.; numerous
aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services for Mr. Tubbs will be held Thursday,
June 22, at 3 p.m. at Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon.
Arrangements were handled by Gardner Funeral Home.
