PAULINE M. BEEKS
Pauline M. Beeks, a long-time resident of Klickitat Co.,
died Thursday, July 31, at her home in Dallesport of Lou Gehrig's disease,
at the age of 63.
She was born March 11, 1923 to Paul M. and Goldie Luella
(Button) Loomis in Toledo, Wash.
Mrs. Beeks grew up in Klickitat Co., and married Elmer
Beeks in White Salmon in 1940. She lived in Dallesport her remaining years.
She worked as a cook in Lyle School District for 15 years retiring in 1976.
She has been ill for several years, but when she felt well she loved to play
with her grandchildren. Mrs. Beeks was a member of Calvary Baptist Church
of The Dalles, Ore.; Order of Eastern Star, White Salmon; and Columbia Grange
No. 87, Lyle.
She is survived by her husband Elmer, Dallesport; mother
Goldie Maier and stepfather Julius Maier, Dallesport; sons Dennis and Daryl
of Dallesport; brother Melvin Wyatt of Tacoma, Wash.; sister, Patricia Robinson
of Echo, Ore.; grandchildren Debbie Feller of Goldendale and Rick, Jason
and Sheena Beeks of Dallesport; and great-grandchildren Becca and Brandon
Feller of Goldendale.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 4, in the chapel
of Gardner Funeral Home, White Salmon, with Pastor Eldon Long and the Order
of Eastern Star officiating.
Interment followed in Balch Cemetery near Lyle. Arrangements
were made by Gardner Funeral Home.

Pauline M. Beeks, 63, a resident of Lyle, Wash., died
July 31 at her home in Lyle.
Mrs. Beeks was born in Toledo, Wash., March 11, 1923.
She married Elmer Beeks in 1940. She lived in the Dallesport, Wash. area,
and she cooked at the Lyle schools for 15 years. She was a member of Calvary
Baptist Chruch in The Dalles, White Salmon Eastern Star, Columbia Grange
No. 87 of Lyle.
She is survived by her mother, Gloria Maier, Dallesport;
her step-father, Julius A. Maier, Dallesport; her husband Elmer, Dallesport;
2 sons: Dennis and Daryl, Dallesport; a brother, Melvin Wyatt, Tacoma, Wash.;
a sister, Patricia Robinson, Echo; 4 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday, Aug. 4, at 2 p.m. at Chapel
of Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon.
Burial will follow in Lyle Balch Cemetery.
