HOCTOR
Paul M. Hoctor, 29, Centerville, passed away Tuesday,
July 14 near Goldendale, the victim of an auto accident.
He was born June 25, 1958 in Goldendale to Emmett and
Rose Marie Hoctor. He graduated from Goldendale High School and attended
Yakima Valley College.
Mr. Hoctor married Judy Dove in Goldendale Oct. 6, 1979
and was employed at Commonwealth Aluminum until its closure; he has since
been employed by Seward Enterprises Logging Co.
Paul Hoctor was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church,
the Goldendale Grange and Rural Fire Dept. 7. He enjoyed hunting, fishing,
rodeoing, riding horses, farming, ranching and working with 4-H.
He is survived by his wife Judy and three children, Bruce,
Amy and Justin. Also surviving are his father, Emmett Hoctor; three brothers:
John, Dennis and Mark Hoctor; two sisters: Nancy Johnson and Sarah Hilton;
his grandmother, Zona Hoctor, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews
and cousins.
Rosary services were held Tuesday, July 16 and mass of
Christian burial was Friday, July 17 at 11 a.m. in Holy Trinity Catholic
Church with Fr. Seamus Kerr as celebrant. Interment was in Holy Trinity Cemetery
under the direction of Knosher-Erdman Funeral home. Honorary pallbearers
were Dave Davenport, Terry, Ray and Tom Willis, Bill Dressel, Charlie Hoctor,
Bill Weltzin and Randy Mulrony. Active pallbearers included Roger Waltz,
Ron Campbell, Ned Kayser, Ron Crawford, Jake Kayser and Stubby Magnuson
A memorial fund has been established at Rainier Bank
in Goldendale.
