DEATH SUMMONS MAXON MYTING
Funeral services for Paul Maxon Myting, 47, Glenwood,
were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Mar. 15 at the Glenwood Community Church.
Phillips Funeral Home of Goldendale was in charge of
arrangements. Preston Smith, pastor of the Seventh-day Adventist church,
White Salmon officiated. Burial was in Mt. Adams Cemetery, Glenwood.
Casket bearers were Max Ladiges, Jr., Paul Ladiges, Walter
Ladiges, Lester Leaton, Norman Troh, Roy Feller.
Myting was born Jan. 22, 1914 in Seattle and died
Sunday, March 12 at Glenwood. Cause of death was bronchial pneumonia and
exposure. Myting succumbed when his car stalled and he had to walk a considerable
distance.
He had spent most of his life in Glenwood Valley where
he attended the Lakeside grade school and graduated from Glenwood high school.
He is survived by his father, Edward S. Myting of Glenwood;
mother, Mrs. W.F. (Clarice) Splawn of Seaside, Ore.; and sister, Margaret
(Peggy), Mrs. Jack Moskovita of 21 W. McGill St., Everett.

SERVICES HELD ON WEDNESDAY P.M.
Paul Maxon Myting died suddenly March 12 at Glenwood
at the age of 47. Funeral services were held Wednesday March 15 at the Glenwood
Community church with Pastor Preston Smith of the Seventh-day Adventist church
officiating. Myting was born January 22, 1914
at Seattle, Wash. He attended Lakeside and Glenwood schools. He had been
in the ranch business for several years. Death was caused by bronchial pneumonia
and exposure.
He is survived by his father, Edward Myting, Glenwood;
his mother, Mrs. W.F. Splawn, Seaside, Ore., and a sister, Mrs. Jack Moskovita,
Everett, Wn.
Pallbearers were Max Ladiges, Jr., Paul Ladiges, Walter
Ladiges, Lester Leaton, Norman Trow, and Roy Feller. Phillips Funeral Home

MAN FOUND DEAD NEAR GLENWOOD
A 47-year-old man was found dead Sunday morning in a
cabin a half-mile west of Glenwood.
Reported dead of unknown causes was Paul Myting, 47,
Glenwood. Myting was found sitting in a chair of the cabin of Johnny Bleiler
near Glenwood.
Bleiler told county sheriffs he and Myting and Ivan McCumber
started out for McCumber's home Saturday night but got bogged down in the
snow about two and half miles from the Bleiler cabin.
The three started back for the cabin
but Myting collapsed. Bleiler said he went for help and Myting was taken
to his cabin and placed in the chair where he was found the next moring.
Myting is survived by his father, Ed Myting, a sister
Maxine Mustinldo, both of Everett, and his mother, Mrs. Bill Splawn of Seaside.
