RITES TODAY FOR GLENWOOD PIONEER
Paul Richard Kuhnhausen, a resident of Chehalis, Washington
the past nine years, passed away in a hospital there on January 24th.
Mr. Kuhnhausen was a long-time resident of Glenwood valley,
having come to Glenwood from Germany with his parents when a small child.
He was born November 17th, 1885 in Germany.
It was in Glenwood on Oct. 19, 1913 he was united in
marriage to Helene Anders.
Surviving are his wife, Helene of Chehalis, and a daughter,
Mrs. Emil Schroeder of Chehalis. A brother, William Kuhnhausen of Portland,
Oregon. Grandchildren, May and Michael Schroeder of Chehalis. Also numerous
nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, January
28 at 11 a.m. at Gardner's Chapel with Rev. George Jefferson of Washougal
officiating.
Interment will be in the Mt. Adams Cemetery in Glenwood.

ILLNESS FATAL TO CHEHALIN
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m., at the
Gardner's Funeral Home in White Salmon for Richard Kuhnhausen, 84, a Chehalis
resident for 10 years. He died Sunday in a local hospital.
Mr. Kuhnhausen was born Nov. 17, 1875, in Germany, and
came to Glenwood in 1881 where he resided before moving to Lewis county.
The family home is at 1417 Cascade avenue.
Surviving are the widow, Helene at home; one daughters,
Mrs. Emil (Clara) Schroeder, Chehalis, and two grandchildren.
Interment will be at the Mount Adams cemetery at Glenwood.

Paul Kuhnhausen, a former resident of the Glenwood valley, was laid to rest in the Mt. Adams cemetery last Thursday. A large number of friends and relatives attended the funeral. He was well and favorably known in the Glenwood valley.
