QUIRIN WALLS
Quirin Oscar Walls, known to his family and friends as
Tim, died Sept. 12 at the Meadowglade Manor Care Center in Battle Ground,
following a long illness. He was 87.
He was a patient at the Veteran's Administration Hospital
in Vancouver before moving to the care center a year ago.
Mr. Walls was born in Helena, Mont., on April 15, 1887.
He served in the Army in World War I. He lived in the Lyle area until he
and his wife, Edna, moved to Goldendale for health reasons. After her death
in 1980, he returned to Lyle, where he lived until he entered the hospital.
Survivors include six sisters and one brother. Two of
the sisters, Dorothy Hall and Verna Linde, are residents of Camlu Apartments
in The Dalles.
At his request, there were no services. Interment was
at Balch Cemetery near Lyle.

Interment was at the Lyle Balch Cemetery, under the direction of Layne's
Funeral Home, Battle Ground.
