ROY A. GURNSEY SERVICES HELD NOVEMBER 5TH
Roy Albert Gurnsey was born November 21st, 1900 at Elberton,
Washington, this son of Annie and Logan Lewis Gurnsey. Since he was about
five years old the family lived in this area, and he had been a resident
of White Salmon since 1954.
He was united in marriage at Stevenson, Washington on
June of 1954 to Blanche Kulp. Most of his life he was engaged in working
in the woods as a sawyer, logging, and a short time ago been employed by
the S.D.S. Lumber company as a fire watch.
Surviving besides his wife Blanche of Yakima, Washington
are two sons: Vern Gurnsey of Boise, Idaho and R.C. Gurnsey of Bakersfield,
Calif. There are three sisters: Mary Overbaugh, of Okanogan, Washington;
Inza Hays of West Linn, Oregon and Pearl Carner of Finn Rock, Oregon. Also,
there are two grandsons; Steve and Scott, and two granddaughters; Kristina
and Laurie.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 5th, 11 a.m.
at the Gardner's Funeral Home in White Salmon with Rev. Homer Coulson of
Goldendale officiating. Interment was at White Salmon.
