RITES HELD ON WEDNESDAY FOR F. RAMSAY

     Frederick Douglas Ramsay was born April 13th, 1896 in Ireland.  He came to this country by way of Canada forty years ago and has lived in this community since that time.  He passed away September 21st at the age of 67 years.  He had been engaged in farming and logging until retirement.
     At Portland, Oregon on December 25th, 1928 he was united in marriage to Francis Florence Cooke.  Besides Mrs. Ramsay of White Salmon there also survives a daughter, Evelyn M. McCoy of Gresham, Oregon and a son Donald D. Ramsay of White Salmon.
     There are seven grandchildren:
     Connie, Douglas and Michael Ramsay, Barbara Gaul, Louis, Robert and Douglas Mackenzie.
     Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 25th, 2 p.m. at Gardner’s Chapel in White Salmon with the Rev. Mr. Alfred Waln of the Methodist Church officiating.  Interment was in the Goodwill Cemetery, White Salmon.
     Casket bearers were: Don Gilmer, Paul Krenz, Amel Burris, Ed Cooke,  William Lauterbach, Sr., Leon Billette.

FREDRICK RAMSAY RITES WEDNESDAY

     Funeral service for Frederick Douglas Ramsay was held Wednesday, September 25 at 2 p.m. in Gardner's Chapel in White Salmon with Rev. Alfred Waln officiating.  Burial followed in Goodwill cemetery in W.S.
     Casket bearers were Wm. Lauterbach Sr., Don Gilmer, Amel Burris, Paul Krenz, Ed Cooke and Leon Billett.
     Frederick Douglas Ramsay was born in Ireland September 13, 1896 and died in White Salmon Saturday, September 21, eight days after his 67th birthday.
     Before coming to the White Salmon area about 40 years ago Mr. Ramsay lived in Canada after leaving his native Ireland.  About six years ago the Ramsays moved to the John Bunn property.
     He married Francis Florence Cooke on December 25, 1928 in Portland.  She and their two children survive him.  They are Donald D. Ramsay, W.S. and Evelyn M. McCoy of Gresham.  Seven grandchildren also survive: Connel, Douglas and Michael Ramsay, Barbara Gaul, Louis, Robert and Douglas McKenzie.
