PIONEER WOMAN OF TROUT LAKE DIES
Funeral services were held in June 14 at 10 a.m. at St.
Joseph Church in White Salmon for Regina Lena Anrig, who passed away on June
9, at Walla Walla, Washington. Father Hart officiating. Interment was at
the White Salmon I.O.O.F. cemetery.
Mrs. Anrig it was born in Baden, Russia, August 18, 1877,
and came to the United States in 1889, settling in Eureka, South Dakota,
where she lived for two years. She then moved with her parents to Portland,
Oregon. There she married Arnold G. Anrig on Oct. 14, 1900, at the age of
23. They moved to the Trout Lake valley where she lived until her death.
She is survived by her husband, A. G. Anrig, of Husum,
Washington, and nine children, Lena Turnridge, of Portland, Oregon; Tony
Anrig, of Goldendale, Washington; Mary Yaden, of Portland, Oregon; Tommy
Anrig, of Husum, Washington; Francis Story, of Vancouver, Washington; Harry
Anrig, of the U.S. Army; Florence VanWinkle, of Tillamook, Oregon; Michael
Anrig, of Klickitat, Washington, and Emma Thornton, of Husum, Washington,
and nine grandchildren.
Seven brothers and sisters also mourn her loss -- Katherine
Hiesler and Annie Kessler, both of Tigard, Oregon; Bernard Ochs, of Valejo,
California; Paul Ochs, Olympia, Washington; Gertrude Schechia, Elizabeth
Hamback, Michael Ochs, all of Tigard, Oregon.
