OBITUARY

     Rosetta C. Fairley, departed from this life, at 2 o'clock p.m. June 26, 1914 at her home, in Centerville, Wn., after a lingering illness of over six months. She was born near Princeton, Mo., Nov. 9, 1859, where she resided until the fall of 1887, when she came to Klickitat County, with her parents, who settled on a farm near Centerville, where she lived until 14 years ago, the family moved to Centerville, where she has since made her home.
     She leaves to mourn her loss, four sisters Mary Keyes, of Yukon, Okla., Malsse Ewing, of Seattle, Wash., Harrette Teachenor, of Princeton, Mo., Eliza Nosker, of Friend, Ore., who was with her until the last, also a step-mother Mrs. L. J. Fairley of Centerville, Wash., who has cared for her for over 50 years, her mother having died when deceased was only 4 years of age, and with whom she has made a home, since of the demise of her father of the late Benjamine Fairley, who passed away just 8 years before at 1 o'clock on June 26, 1914.
     Rosetta, as if she was known by her many friends was a faithful member of the Christian church, and it during her last illness she left many testimonies of her love and faith in the one who doeth all things well.
     The funeral services were held in the Christian Church at Centerville and conducted by Rev. Eaton, of Goldendale, on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock a.m. She was laid at rest by the side of her father in the cemetery, south of town by kind and loving friends.
     The community unite in extending their sympathy to her sorrowing relatives in their sad bereavement. While she will be missed by all who knew her, yet we realize that our loss is her gain, and that a way has been prepared by which we may all meet our loved one in the Great Beyond, where sorrow and suffering are past, and we may be united to part no more for all eternity.

Sister thou hast gone and left us,
Never more thy face we'll see
On this earth so full of sadness,
'Till were called to heaven with thee.

Life is lonely here without thee,
And the world seems cold and gray;
But in Christ we find a solace
That will make night bright as day.

A friend.
