ROBERT HOLMES
Robert Daniel Holmes died Jan. 5 at 5:42 p.m. in Walter
Reed Army Hospital in Washington, D.C., just 10 hours after he was
born.
Young Holmes was born at 7:42 am. His father, Christopher
Holmes, joined the army in 1978 and served, in Turkey and Greece as a clerk
typist before being transferred recently to the Pentagon as a
stenographer.
The baby is survived by his parents, Christopher and
Jayne Holmes, Virginia grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Miller, Underwood,
Carl Holmes, Hood River, and Dorothy Key, Tulsa, Okla.; great-grandparents
Janie Lawrence, White Salmon. Marjorie Miller, Underwood, Mr. and Mrs. Carl
W. Holmes, Hood River, and Rosie Davis, Sweet Home, Ore.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Gardner
Funeral Home in White Salmon with Rev. Bobby Joe Beauchamp officiating. Interment
was in the White Salmon cemetery.
