"Lyle News"
The community was shocked to hear of the sudden death of little Robert (Bobby) White Wednesday afternoon. While playing he climbed up and got hold of the hose on the gas tank and drank a little and though he was rushed to The Dalles Hospital and all was done that could be he only lived three hours. Bobby was 2 years, 1 month and 27 days old. The funeral services in charge of Calloway Funeral home in The Dalles was held at the church in Lyle with the Methodist minister of The Dalles officiating. A large crowd attended the services and the flowers were profuse and beautiful. The sympathy of all goes out to the family in the loss of their dear one.
