"Country Doings"

The funeral for Roy Kelley, aged 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kelley, of White Salmon, was held August 30th. Roy Kelly, a general favorite of the schoolchildren of that place, was drowned in a slough of the Columbia Sunday when bathing with about 25 boys and young men. All had ceased bathing and were on the shore when Kelly was missed, and a search of the swimming hole disclosed his body. Efforts at resuscitation failed.
