COMMUNITY MOURNS SUDDEN DEATH OF ROBT. E. MANSFIELD
Memorial Service To Be Held At Later Date; Room To Be Named
Robert E. Mansfield, outstanding young businessman of
this community, passed away suddenly on November 19th, at his home in White
Salmon.
A private service on Tuesday preceded commitment to the
local I.O.O.F cemetery. Public tribute will be in the form of a Memorial
Service at the Methodist Church. Announcement of the public services are
being postponed pending the return of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Mansfield, who are traveling in the South. The time of the Memorial Service
will be announced through the press or by notices in business
houses.
Mrs. Mansfield has asked that no flowers be sent. It
is her preferences that those friends who want to should contribute to a
memorial fund to be used in furnishing a room in the proposed hospital. Al
Lermo has been named temporary chairman of the committee for the Robert Mansfield
Memorial Hospital Room and, as such, is authorized to accept contributions
to this fund.
