ROY E. PULLUM
Roy E. Pullum died Feb. 25, at Skyline Hospital in White
Salmon, at the age of 79.
Mr. Pullum was born April 23, 1908, in Winslow, Ark.,
to Hester Corbin and Armstead B. Pullum. He was raised in Tahlequah, Okla.
He served in the Army for a short time, then moved to Vinita, Okla., when
he was 20. He came to Washington in 1945. He worked in various gardens and
orchards and his last job was with the sawmill. He loved to hunt and fish
in his younger days and loved horses. He was a horseshoer and expert rider.
Mr. Pullum is survived by his children, Ruth, Vinita,
Okla., Cricket, California, Mary Spring, White Salmon, Earl Pullum, Auburn,
and Stella Sharp, White Salmon; a sister, Lela Crockett, Vinita, Okla.; three
step-daughters and one step-son; and 16 grand-children and several great
grand-children. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Ruth, one son,
Leroy, and two brothers, Bill and Oscar.
Services for Mr. Pullum were held Monday at 2 p.m. at
Gardner Funeral Home, with Rev. Bill Howard officiating. Interment was in
the White Salmon Cemetery.
