ROSS WEST
Ross E. West, a resident of The Dalles, died Friday in
The Dalles at the age of 72.
Mr. West was born Jan. 6, 1911, in Roosevelt to Mr. and
Mrs. Cecil West. He married Pearl E. Korthase in Stevenson Oct. 4, 1938.
He moved to Wasco County in 1958, where he was a fireman for Mountain Fir
Lumber Co. in Tygh Valley, Ore., for 1966 to 1975.
He is survived by his wife Pearl, The Dalles; one brother,
Ivan West, White Salmon; and one sister, Lois Camp, White Salmon.
Graveside services for Mr. West were held Tuesday at
2 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Appleton, with Rev. Asa Jenson officiating.
Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

WHITE SALMON, Wash. -- Graveside funeral services for
Ross E. West, 72, The Dalles, were scheduled for 2 p.m. July 26 at Pleasant
Hill Cemetery at Appleton, Wash.
Mr. West was born Jan. 6, 1911, at Roosevelt, Wash.,
and died July 22 at the hospital in The Dalles. He had retired from Mountain
Fir Lumber Company.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl, The Dalles; a brother,
Evan West, White Salmon; a sister, Lois Camp, White Salmon.
Gardner Funeral Home of White Salmon is in charge of
funeral arrangements.
Memorials have been suggested to the American Cancer
Society.

Ross E. West, The Dalles, born January 6, 1911 in Roosevelt,
passed away July 22.
Married to Pearl Korthase in Stevenson in 1938, he was
a retired firemen for Mountain Fir Lumber Company, and that been a Wasco
County resident since 1958.
He is survived by his wife Pearl, The Dalles, and by
a brother, Ivan west, and a sister, Lois Camp, both of White Salmon.
Graveside services were held July 26 at Pleasant Hill
Cemetery, Appleton, the Rev. Asa Jenson officiating. Gardner Funeral Home
was in charge.
The family suggests memorials be made to the American
Cancer Society.
