BOB CHAMBERLAIN, PIONEER CO. RESIDENT; FUNERAL TUES.

     Robert Homer Chamberlain was born December 11, 1883, at Lyle, Washington. He passed away at his home in White Salmon May 25, 1962, at the age of 78 years, 5 months and fourteen days.
     Robert Chamberlain lived most of his life at Lyle, Washington, with the exception of 8 years at Baker, Oregon and 3 years at Glenwood, Washington. Bob was a dedicated cattleman and his greatest past time and vacation pleasure was hunting. He was at home either on horseback riding for cattle or in the mountains hunting for elk and deer.
     His family was raised on the ranch at Lyle, Washington, and in 1945 Bess and Bob moved to White Salmon to make their home.
     Surviving him is his wife, Bessie S. Chamberlain of White Salmon, one daughter, Vera McCoy of White Salmon, three sons, Vernon of Colville, Washington; Virgil E. of Miami, Florida; Gerald of Portland, Oregon and one sister Minnie Martin of Placiou, Texas.
     Service was held Tuesday, May 29th at Gardner's Chapel at 1:30 p.m. with interment at Balch Cemetery at Lyle, Washington. Rev. George Jefferson of Camas officiated and the White Salmon Grange had graveside services.

DEATH SUMMONS CHAMBERLAIN

     Funeral services for Robert Homer (Bob) Chamberlain, 78, White Salmon, were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 29 at Gardner's Chapel. The Rev. George Jefferson of Washougal officiated.
     Mt. View Grange of White Salmon conducted graveside services at Balch Cemetery near Lyle.
     Casket bearers were Nelson Burgess, Jay Hawes, Steve Wnuk, Ed Barker, Ed Lane and Tim Amundsen.
     Robert Chamberlain was born Dec. 11, 1883 at Lyle and was married on August 28, 1906 to Bessie E. Conklin.              Except for eight years at Baker, Oregon, and three years at Glenwood, they lived on the family ranch at Lyle prior to moving to White Salmon in 1945.
     Bob was a dedicated cattle man, at home in the saddle whether riding for cattle or hunting elk and deer, his favorite pastime.
     He is survived by his widow, Bessie, and daughter, Vera (Mrs. Joe McCoy), both of White Salmon; three sons, Vernon of Colville; Virgil E. of Miami, Florida, and Gerald of Portland, Oregon; and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Martin of Texas.
