HUTTON
Mr. Robert H. Hutton Sr., 72, of Goldendale died Tuesday,
Feb. 23, near his home.
He was born Nov. 30, 1915 in Sunnydale, Idaho to Burtie
and Christina Hutton.
The family moved to the Yakima Valley in 1923, settling
near Sunnyside where he attended rural schools.
Mr. Hutton married Freda Schuchman were united in marriage
Jan. 1, 1936 in Yakima and moved to the firwood area that same year. They
have made their home there since where Robert farmed and raised cattle.
He enjoyed leather craft, mechanics, farming and cattle.
He was a member and past master of Goldendale Grange #49 and a member of
the Firwood Fire Department District 7. He was also a member of the New Life
Assembly of God Church in Goldendale.
Survivors include his wife Freda, three sons: Houstin,
of Georgia; Ernest of Chewelah, Wash.; and Bob of Goldendale; a daughter:
Beverly Harris of Georgia. A sister, Ruby Hayes of The Dalles, 16 grandchildren
and five great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 27 at the New
Life Assembly of God Church with pastor Dennis Huenefeld officiating. Interment
was in Spring Creek Cemetery under the auspices of Goldendale Grange #49.
Active pallbearers included Jim Hill, Dan Justman, Colin
Bennett, Terrance Atkins and Dick Case. Honorary pallbearers were Charley
Liska, Jim Lefever, Ray Purdy, Art Winterstein, Phil Classen, Tom Roberts
and Ray Gosney. Arrangements were by Knosher-Erdman Funeral Home.
