RICHARD THOMAS

     Funeral for Richard H. Thomas, 55, former resident of Washington and Oregon, was Monday in Kenilworth Presbyterian Church.
     He died Friday in Juneau, Alaska, and was buried beside his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Boze, in Trout Lake, Wash. He was born May 29, 1909.
     He was a member of St. Johns Masonic Lodge No. 9 of Seattle and Glacier Valley Rotary Club of Juneau as well as other organizations.
     Survivors include the widow, Helen, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ephraim Thomas, Portland; brothers, Walter A. of Mill City, and Charles A. of Ruskin, Canada; sisters, Mrs. Theodore H. Adams of Portland, Mrs. Charles C. Donaldson of Hood River and Mrs. Albert J. Yankus of Mill City; daughters, Mrs. William H. Hass of Cottage Grove, Mrs. Dale Whitaker of Eugene, Mrs. Allen E. Brumet of Tacoma and a son, Richard L. Thomas, Salem.

BURIAL HELD IN TROUT LAKE FOR R.H. THOMAS

     Richard H. Thomas of Juneau, Alaska, died June 19. He was born in Trout Lake, Washington on May 28, 1909. Funeral services were at the Kenilworth Presbyterian Church in Portland, Oregon, June 22, and he was buried at Trout Lake, Washington.
     He is survived by his wife Helen of Juneau, Alaska; four children, a son Richard L. of Salem, oregon; three daughters, Ellen hass of Cottage Grove, Oregon; Marilla Whitaker of Eugene, Oregon; and Patricia Brumet of Tacoma, Washington. Also seven grandchildren; a step-daughter, Marie Wright of Coos Bay; his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Ephriam Thomas of Portland, Oregon; two brothers, Walter A. of Gates, Oregon; Charles A. of Ruskin, British Columbia. Three sisters, Jessie Adams of Portland, Oregon; Violet Donaldson of Hood River, Oregon; and Mabel Yankus of Mill City, Oregon.

"Trout Lake News"

     Monday afternoon graveside services were held in Trout Lake cemetery for Richard Thomas who died in Juneau, Alaska last week. He was the son of Ephriam Thomas and Rosella Boze, former residents of the valley who owned the present Lloyd Beeks home. Rosella, now Mrs. Yankus of Portland is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Boze, who were among the first settlers in the valley and their home was on the W.S. River, now a part of the Beeks farm. Mr. Thomas, oldest grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Boze, was 55 years old and brother of Mrs. Donaldson of near White Salmon.
