RAYMOND J. GREATHOUSE

     Raymond J. Greathouse, a resident of Bingen since 1970, died Monday, Sept. 1, at Hood River (Ore.) Memorial Hospital, at the age of 56.
     He was born Nov. 28, 1929 to Oscar and Edith Greathouse in Sara, Okla., the state in which he was raised. He married his wife Edith in Parkdale, Ore., in 1969. The couple moved to Bingen in 1970. Mr. Greathouse worked as a laborer, mostly in wrecking yards.
     He is survived by his wife, Edith, Bingen; children James, Janie and Susie, who all reside in California, and Jane, who lives in Oklahoma; and half-brother Cleo Greathouse.
     Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 5, at Gardner Funeral Home of White Salmon, with the Rev. Arthur Dickie officiating. Interment followed in the White Salmon Cemetery.
