RHODA JAYNE KREPS

     Miss Rhoda Jayne Kreps, who was born on March 11, 1891 at Laurel, Washington and lived her entire life there, died at Laurel on May 16.
     She was a member of national and state cattlemen's organizations, St. Joseph's Catholic Church of White Salmon, Camas Prairie and vicinity Pioneer Association, the Glenwood Woman's Club and the American Legion Auxiliary.
     She was a rancher and also worked as a postmaster. Her news notes of Laurel appearing in The Enterprise were enjoyed by everyone.
     Survivors include: one brother, Russell Kreps of White Salmon; six nieces, Kathleen Ohnemus of Glenwood, Mary Gail Giersch of McCleary, Washington, Margaret Throop of Glenwood, Mary Louise Shattuck of Toppenish, Washington, Olga Jane Hecomovich of White Salmon and Magrerite Kayser of Centerville, Washington; two nephews, Russell (Bodge) W. Kreps and Oliver (Chip) T. Kreps, both of White Salmon; a sister-in-law, Mary L. Kreps of Glenwood; and 22 grandnieces and grandnephews.
     Rosary took place at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 8 p.m., on Tuesday, May 20, with Requiem Mass at St. Joseph's at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 21. Interment was at Mt. Adams Cemetery in Glenwood.
     Rev. Father Harvey J. Owen of St. Joseph's Church officiated and Gardner's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

     Rhoda Jayne Kreps was born on Mar. 11, 1891 at Laurel, Wash. She died there on May 16, 1975. She was a resident of Laurel all her life. She was a member of the National and State Cattlemen's organizations, St. Joseph's Catholic Church of White Salmon, the Camas Prairie and Vicinity Pioneer Association, the Glenwood Women's Club and the American Legion Auxiliary. She worked in ranching in the Laurel area.
     She is survived by a brother, Russell Kreps, White Salmon; six nieces, Kathleen Ohnemus, Glenwood, Mary Gail Giersch of McCleary, Wa., Margaret Throop of Glenwood, Mary Louise Shattuck of Toppenish, Olga Jane Hecomovich of White Salmon and Maguerite Kayser if Centerville,; two nephews, Russell (Bodge) Kreps and Oliver T. (Chip) Kreps, both of White Salmon; and 22 grandnieces and grandnephews.
    Rosary was held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in White Salmon on May 20. Requiem Mass was held there on May 21. The Rev. Father Harvey J. Owen of St. Joseph's Church officiated. Interment followed at Mt. Adams Cemetery in Glenwood. Funeral arrangements were made by Gardner's Funeral Home of White Salmon.
