RITES HELD FOR 8 YEAR OLD BOY

     Funeral services for Ronald James Vanderford, age 8, Fisher Hill Road, Lyle, were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16 at Gardner's Chapel, White Salmon. The Rev. Clare Brown of Lyle officiated. Burial was in Goodwill Cemetery, White Salmon.
     Ronald was born April 5, 1955 at Longview and died Wednesday, Dec. 11 at a hospital in The Dalles, Oregon. He has been ill since last spring. Apparent cause of death was a brain abcess.
     He is survived by his parents, John L. and Edna Jane Vanderford, and four younger brothers, John, Robert, Melvin and Carl, all of Lyle; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Luther Vanderford and Mr. and Mrs. Homer W. Harrison, both of the St. Helens, Ore.
