ROBERT L. BALLARD
Robert Lee Ballard of Trout Lake died last Thursday at
home. He was 61.
Mr. Ballard was born June 23, 1931 in Madison, Ill. to
Amy (Behrens) and Edward S. Ballard. He moved to Chicago at age six. He entered
the Army during the Korean Conflict and served four years. He then spent
12 years in the Coast Guard, retiring in 1975.
Mr. Ballard married Mary Felipe in Alaska in 1961. He
came to Washington state in 1975 and to Trout Lake in 1986. He was a member
of the Presbyterian Church. He loved to fish and play darts.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, of Trout Lake; sons,
Loring and Joe Lampkey of Las Vegas, Nev., Gaby Lampkey of Seattle, and Ponciano
Ballard of Vancouver; daughters Mary Ann Hastings of San Diego, Basilia Pagan
of Vancouver, Cynthia Maria Aleio of Los Angeles and Teresa Gomez of San
Fransisco,Calif.; sisters, Mildred Burke of St. Louis, Mo., Nola Kenner of
Warren, Ill., brother, James Ballard of Warren, Ill.; and 16 grandchildren.
No formal services were held at family request. Inurnment
in Trout Lake Cemetery following cremation. Contributions may be made to
the American Cancer or American Heart Association.
