ROBERT L. MILBERGER
Veteran of Vietnam, Robert L. Milberger, of Goldendale
died on March 26. He was 42.
Mr. Milberger was born Dec. 5, 1948 in the Dalles to
Shirley and Don Milberger. He attended schools in Lyle, graduating from Lyle
High School. During the Vietnam War, Mr. Milberger served in the U.S Army.
For many years Mr. Milberger was employed as a timber
faller and logger. An avid outdoorsperson, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and
camping. He was a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his son Jacob, of Goldendale; daughter,
Courtney, of Boise; parents, Don and Shirley, of Goldendale; sisters, Sandra
Whitmire, of Glenwood, Susan Emerson, of Carson and Cheryl Milberger, of
The Dalles. He was preceded in death by one brother, John.
Graveside services were held on March 28, at Appleton
Cemetery. Pallbearers were Marvin Cooney, Church Kessinger, Sherman Reeves,
Phillip Ashley, Tony Wynn and Garland Wyatt. Honor guard included Russell
Woodall, Ernie Webster, Marvin Mason, Jim Shigley, Jim Aplin, Joe Kessinger,
Doug Hardwick and Steve (Gramps) Hammer. Interment was under the care of
Knosher-Erdman Funeral Home.
