RUSSELL L. SPRAGUE
Russell L. Sprague, of Glenwood, died Jan. 19, in Phoenix,
Ariz. He was 70.
Mr. Sprague was born on Aug. 17, 1921, in Dix, Neb. to
Hazel M. (LeMire) and Forest Sprague. He moved to California as a youngster,
entered the service and served in the South Pacific in the U.S. Army during
World War II. He married Isoline Booher in 1945 in Yakima. He moved to Glenwood
a year after marriage and worked for the St. Regis mill for 38 years.
Mr. Sprague enjoyed hunting and dancing. He taught firearms
safety for 36 years.
He is survived by his wife, Isoline of Glenwood; mother,
Hazel Sprague of Phoenix; children, Gary of Woodland, Larry of Glenoma, Rany
of Sumner, Beverly Scott of Vancouver, Cheryl Estrada of Glenwood, and Shelly
Ilrtron of Auburn; sisters, Phyllis Campbell of Phoenix, and Donna Clement
of Albany; brothers, Joe of North Fort Meyers, Fla., and Lee of Hillsboro;
18 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Pioneer Memorial Church
in Glenwood, followed by burial at Mt. Adams Cemetery.
Contributions may be given to the Glenwood Cemetery
Association of American Cancer Society.
