TROUT LAKE WOMAN DIES IN CAR WHILE TRAVELING TO PORTLAND
Worn out from a race with death which started at Weed,
Cal., at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon and ended at the central police station
last night, David Nielson, Trout Lake, Wash., brought the body of his wife,
Rachel, to the police emergency hospital, reports Saturday's Oregonian. Mrs.
Nielson died within the city limits. Her husband was taking her to her home
at Trout Lake.
According to Nielson, they had been in Weed a week, coming
from Dunsmuir, where the woman had been in a hospital for three months, when
the husband decided on the trip to Trout Lake. Near Portland the woman's
condition became worse and a vain effort was made to reach to emergency hospital
before she died.
